Shakti Align empowers and inspires energetic and mindful movement through modern perspectives and movement therapies rooted from the traditional practice of yoga. Teachings do not follow any specific lineage of yoga. It is influenced by the teachings of Krishnamacharya, Dr. Vasant Lad as it pertains to Ayurveda, and present day teachers who integrate modern applications of movement and breath work to expand awareness of the body, mind, and spirit while recognizing each individuals unique biodiversity. 

 

"Shakti" is the sanskrit word for "action" and reflects the school's value on strengthening the relationship with our Self and with our environment through the initiative taken to achieve intention. The practice places equal emphasis on physical and energetic alignment and embraces a safe and informed practice for all.

Shakti Mama  is a community that offers group and private programming using movement, breath work, meditation, and educational experiences to support women who are on a path to conceive, nourishing her fertility, planning to adopt, are pregnant, and/ or are postnatal.

Whether the intention is to develop a stronger practice and learn more or you are dedicated to teaching, Yoga trainings at shakti align share the tools to unleash your true voice and break down barriers leading to powerful and fulfilling personal growth. Our programs are designed to strengthen the connection to the Self, to others, and to the environment by integrating the spiritual and scientific understanding of the energy body and the physical body. We study the western approach to anatomy and physiology as much as we study our individual and collective energy structure.

RETREATS

Retreats offer a supportive path to immerse yourself in a consistent practice and to explore tools that can create space in the body and mind alongside others who are also healing and resetting. Physical, emotional, and spiritual breakthroughs can show up in or after a yoga practice, however, our day-to-day routines can pull us back into an unbalanced state if we are not aware of what might be the culprit or haven't figured out how to manage it yet. Together, we will explore a practice that will embody the 8-limbs of yoga and examine our individuality as well as our participation in community.
